Wendy Midgley, MEd, RD, LDN
is a nutritionist and wellness counselor with over 25 years experience in weight management, lifestyle change issues, and nutritional management of medical problems such as diabetes and lipid disorders.
Wendy is a graduate of Simmons College and completed her MEd and ADA approved dietetic internship at Tufts University in 1974. She is a former assistant director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She has been the Nutrition Program Director of the WeLL (Weight Loss for Life) Program associated with Dr.Harold Solomon, since 1993, in Chestnut Hill, MA.
Her approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from her extensive training and skills in traditional medicine, counseling psychology, mind/body medicine, and holistic healing. In her sessions with clients, Wendy serves as a nutrition coach and facilitator of the change process. Her goals are to:
Karen Green, RD, LDN is a registered clinical dietitian at the WeLL (Weight Loss for Life) Program in Chestnut Hill, MA. She specializes in weight loss counseling with an added expertise in the management of diabetes and lipid disorders. Karen received her B.S. in Nutrition in 1980 from Simmons College and went on to complete her ADA approved dietetic internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, 1980-1981. She has been a registered dietitian fro 24 years.
After taking time off to raise her 2 children, Karen has been active in the weight loss field since 1990. From 1990-1995, Karen was the assistant program manager at the Cardiac Risk Reduction Center at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. She has been working in her current position, associated with Dr. Solomon, since 1995.
Karen's counseling philosophy is to encourage people to be realistic about their weight loss and health expectations and to be consistent in their efforts She focuses on routine and structure of meals and meal preparation with an emphasis on portion control and calorie counting.
